How long does a closure take?

Timing depends on the state agency since each one has its own work flows and processing timelines. We'll keep you updated as the Closure application moves through the process. For general guidance, we can see these requests take the state anywhere from 2-6 weeks and more if the state agency is experiencing high volumes or internal system issues (ie: state website is down or inaccessible).
