My company is owned by a non-US citizen who does not have a Social Security Number (SSN). What information can I provide instead to register with the state?
Edited
If an officer does not have an SSN, they may alternatively provide an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). An ITIN is a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, andĀ are not eligible to obtain, a Social Security number (SSN) from theĀ Social Security Administration (SSA).
If the officer does not have an SSN or an ITIN, please reach out to our customer support team for assistance at agent@middesk.com and include the state in question in your message.
