How do I close my agency account or registration?

In order to close a tax agency account, you will need to get in touch with that agency directly, or do so on the agency’s online portal, if applicable. Middesk is unable to close agency accounts on behalf of a customer, as this requires power of attorney. 

If a state requires a call to start processing an account closure, please note that the individual who calls will have to be the contact on the registration, or one of the listed officers. Once you have closed the agency tax account, or can confirm the agency has started processing a closure, please reach out to agent@middesk.com and our team will finish closing out the tax registration on our end.
