Why is extra information being requested from me?

State payroll tax agencies will sometimes need additional information to process or approve your registration depending on a wide range of factors. It’s possible that the answers you provide will prompt questions that the agency wants to verify, or they may just want to double check something you’ve indicated. 

Generally, the tax agencies Middesk works with will ask for the same information registration to registration. However, in the cases where we need more information our team will send you an “information request” that allows us to update your registration with new information.

Generally, if Middesk is requesting specific information or documentation post-submission of your registration, this information is being directly requested by the state.
