Why have my tax filings failed?

If you have payroll tax filings that have failed the first thing to do is contact your payroll provider. Middesk does not file taxes, reports, or manage active tax accounts on behalf of customers at any time. Once Middesk completes a registration and passes along the details, it is the business and payroll provider's responsibility to ensure taxes are filed.

Payroll providers require third party authorization in order to file on behalf of a business. Typically, if filings have failed the usual reason is a lack of third party authorization. As such, Middesk recommends reaching out to your payroll provider directly to inquire if there is anything they are still missing to be able to file on behalf of your business.
