Policies is a feature that allows you to set parameters to auto-approve or auto-reject businesses within the Middesk platform.
Why are policies useful?
- This can enable you to save hours of manual work by configuring a set of policy rules that meet your compliance and onboarding requirements.
- Policies also minimize human errors, as the approval process is automated and no longer requires manual intervention.
- Policies give your risk and compliance managers tools to set auto-approval rules without changing your integration or waiting for developer capacity.
How does it work?
- If a business meets your policies, the business will be auto-approved and we'll share insights underlying the approval. If a business does not pass auto-approval, we will still surface insights tied to the business to assist your team in reviewing the business and making an onboarding decision.
How can I see a record of the policy decision for a business?
- On the Middesk dashboard, you will be able to see a record of the policy decision by clicking on the "History" tab on the businesses' identity report. You can additionally check when and whether the business had a policy triggered using the policy_results API or in the policy_results object to the Retrieve a Business endpoint/call. For additional details about the API implementation of Policies, please refer to out API Reference.
