Yes. You may opt to transfer only your payroll tax registrations or only your Secretary of State registration to Agent.
To transfer payroll taxes only:
“Transfer” will be selected by default for your Secretary of State registration during the initial transfer process. If you do not have an existing Secretary of State registration in that state that you would like to transfer to Agent, you may select one of the following:
- “Skip,” which will avoid registering your business with the Secretary of State.
- “Register,” which will begin a new Secretary of State registration in that state.
To transfer Secretary of State only:
In the “Account Information” step of the transfer process, you will see the option to select either “Register for accounts” or “Skip account transfers” for your payroll taxes.
If you do not have an existing payroll registration in that state that you would like to transfer to Agent you may, select one of the following:
- “Register for accounts,” which will begin the registration process for new payroll tax accounts in the state.
- “Skip account transfers,” which will avoid transferring your payroll tax accounts in the state.
