Your registration may be assigned the "Blocked by government" processing status for one of the following reasons:
- The state requires that the employee’s hire date or first payroll date has passed before they will allow a company to register. Once the hire date or first payroll date has passed, Middesk will then be able to register you with the appropriate state agencies.
- The state requires that the company has hit a particular liability threshold, meaning the company has paid an employee a specific minimum amount. Once the liability threshold has been exceeded, Middesk will then be able to register you with the appropriate state agencies.
- The state requires that you be registered with the Secretary of State (SOS) before registering with payroll. In that case, this status indicates that your SOS registration process is in progress.
